1984 born in Fukuoka, Japan Masanori Hata won award:2008 Canon New Comos of Photography_ the grand prize and he established independent galleryAkarui Heya (Camera Lucida)in 2009. His artist activities are diverse, his book "A History of Photography in the Twenty-second Century," conversations with 20 photographers of the same generation, has created a buzz in Japan. (This book also included the participation of Daisuke Yokota, who was not yet well-known at the time.) In this second photobook, Hata is inspired by the history of indigenous peoples, which is overlooked in the current history of Hokkaido, and his photographs treat real people and non-persons equally. Some people wear masks, and some are photographed with their real faces, but there is no difference between the two in this collection, just as there is no inherent definition of what is inside and what is outside. As if traveling through a void in time, Hata continued to photograph things that seemed to appear and disappear, like something encountered in a dream. Though he thought it sounded very sad and scary. but he wanted to keep them all equal, This attempt is a renewal via Diane Arbus, shigeo Gocho, and Apichatpong Weerasethakul.
